Cakes by Nura

Turning social attention into a clearer path from craving to order.

Cakes by Nura needed an online storefront that could carry the energy of the brand while making scheduled slice drops and custom cake orders easy to understand and act on—especially from a phone.

02 The challenge

A website shaped around the real way the business works.

Much of the brand’s attention begins on social media, where customers see the products and decide they want them. Social platforms can create demand, but they are less effective at organising product information, availability and the next step towards ordering.

The bakery also serves two different buying moments: customers looking for fresh slices from a scheduled drop and customers planning a custom cake for a birthday, wedding or celebration. The website needed to make both routes clear without making either one feel secondary.

03 Key decisions

Clarity before complexity.

  1. 01

    Separate the buying moments

Fresh slice drops and custom cake orders are presented as distinct journeys, helping customers quickly recognise the route that matches what they need.

  2. 02

    Design for the phone first

The storefront prioritises fast scanning, large product imagery and clear calls to action for visitors arriving directly from social media on mobile devices.

  3. 03

    Let the cakes lead

A bold visual system gives the products room to create desire, while concise supporting information keeps the route to ordering simple and focused.

04 The finished experience

An ecommerce experience built around how the bakery sells.

The finished website gives customers one clear destination to explore the products, understand what is available and move towards an order without relying entirely on social-media messages.

It gives Cakes by Nura an owned buying experience that can support recurring slice drops and higher-consideration custom orders within one recognisable brand environment.
